Everybody loves to travel - England
My wife, daughter and myself made a trip to England middle of last year (2007) in view of the discounted fares offered by Malaysia Airlines. We decided to stay at the Peak District so we booked a cottage style accommodation at Millhouse Green village, the Small House. It is really small - a small sitting area plus a small kitchen downstairs and the rooms and one toilet upstairs. The rooms - one small single and one average size with a double bed. Overall quitecomfortable. However, looking for the Small House is not easy.

We could not find the Small House, went to a few places and had to call the owner who then took us there.

The small kitchen

It was summer. We arrived London early in the morning and had daylight until almost midnight. The next morning we were up with the sun at 4 am! By 5 am we were out exploring the hill behind the Small House. The scene is beautiful with farms and woods looking fresh & green. It is cold especially with the strong wind blowing, and I was trying to keep my eyes open.

Penistone - an old town further up from Small House, Millhouse Green
According to what I had read, Penistone was a market/livestock market town in earlier times.

Sheffield - an industrial town. We drove to Sheffield for some sightseeing and spent some time hanging around.

Saw this container-converted cafe on our way to Sheffield early in the morning. So drop in to try out English breakfast. Not bad at all especially the hot coffee in a cold morning.
Langsett - another small town within the Peak District. Below is the Langsett reservoir. At the background is an old castle converted into a hotel.
Ashbourne, a lovely small town we passed through on our way south to Matlock.

Matlock
Matlock - a unique small & hilly town. On weekends you will be surprised at the number of superbike and the crowd. During our visit, this place was packed with bikers and families.
