Photos from my album

During some of my earlier travel few photos were taken digitally.  I was not into photography then.  Some photos here are from my brother-in-law.

 Bali, Indonesia

                     Medan, Indonesia

 This is Medan, Indonesia

The above is wrongly captioned as Lake Toba.  It is a village just down the road of our hotel.  The actual Lake Toba scene is shown below.

 Thailand

Yes, Thailand is interesting.  There are so many temples & pagodas.  The places I visited - Bangkok, Chiangmai, Hat Yai & Phuket.

Once in Bangkok, we stayed far from town and we really had a tough time looking for food.  It is not that there we cannot find a place to eat, but we cannot speak the local language and the local people cannot understand English at all.  So it is chicken & duck talk, with hand & leg and all sorts of sound.

We tried the river boat or "water taxi".  And also the tuk-tuk - what a horrifying experience when the driver tried to squeezed between two buses and overtaking at breakneck speed.  The best of all should be our  trip to the ancient capital, Ayutthaya and the river cruise back to Bangkok with lunch onboard.

                                         Macau

This is Macau - the background structure says it all!

Casino - another landmark of Macau.

The shopping square.  Shops are all over and we had a good time here.

Now with a scanner I can scan my old travel photos into my computer.  However the quality is not so good.

New Zealand

Here are some photos of my trip to New Zealand in 2002.  My brother-in-law and me drove from South Island to North Island.

 Australia

We visited Australia in 2004.  We stayed in Melbourne and Tasmania.
