We started from Penang at 2pm and took the JetStar to Singapore at 5.20pm on March 22 arriving 6.40pm. We had to clear custom/immigration, get our luggage and proceeded to departure hall on another level. After some asking around, we managed to locate the departure hall and also Air France check-in counter. Our flight to France Charles DeGaulle airport will only commence at 11.15pm and we have to hang around Singapore airport for quite a while. The flight to France took us almost 14 hours arriving at 6am on March 23 (France is 6 hours behind Singapore).
Before our journey I was worried about our arrival at Charles DeGaulle airport because I've read about it's size and also the departure hall for our connecting flight to London from the arrival hall is far apart. Our flight to Luton airport in London was supposed to take off at 10.10am and we have to clear immigration/custom and our luggage and to find our way to the departure hall.
Yes Charles DeGaulle airport is really huge. Passport check is fast but getting our luggage do take some time. We arrived at terminal 2E and have to find our way to terminal 2B. The sign board showed the direction we had to take but we could not find it. Why? After the main sign board showing the direction to 2B, we saw all signs pointing to 2A, 2C and 2D but no 2B. No body seems to know where and many do not understand us as we don't speak French. Only the airport staff knows. Bad.
Well we managed to find our way to London! But what a weather. It is almost freezing and the wind is so strong! OMG it is snowing in spring!
